12335 – Technical Writer (hybrid, mostly remote)– Miami, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: mostly remote, but may come in office from time to time
Requirements:
• Availability to work at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required);
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software industry (5-10 years);
• Experience creating manuals for building department, documenting standard operating procedures (SOP), building knowledge center for all processes in building department;
• Experience creating training manuals;
• Experience documenting large software applications, which includes the Architecture, API’s, Security, Infrastructure, the deliverables the developers were responsible for;
Preferred:
• Experience using Visio and other relevant tools for creating diagrams and visual representations;
• Experience with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment;
• Experience with API documentation standards and experience with documenting APIs;
• Government Experience
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Collaborate with software developers, architects, and subject matter experts to gather and understand technical information about the iBuild Software platform;
• Create comprehensive and accurate documentation that effectively communicates technical concepts and processes to various audiences, including developers, system administrators, and end-users;
• Produce clear and concise documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, API documentation, release notes, and other supporting materials;
• Research, analyze, and synthesize complex technical information to ensure accuracy and clarity in the documentation;
• Review existing documentation and identify areas for improvement, such as outdated content, inconsistencies, or gaps in information;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation aligns with the latest software releases and updates;
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to create user-friendly and visually appealing documentation;
• Utilize tools such as Vizio and other relevant software to create diagrams, flowcharts, and visual representations of technical concepts and processes;
• Stay updated with industry best practices, standards, and emerging technologies related to technical writing and documentation.
