Description: Our Client, Florida State Agency, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer (100% onsite) in Boca Raton, FL
Requirements:
• Availability to work 100% on the Client’s site in Boca Raton, FL (required);
• Experience with configuring and implementing multi-vendor hardware network environments (5-7 years);
• Strong experience and knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, OSI, Routing, and Switching (5-7 years);
• Experience with the following cloud computing platforms: Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS (5-7 years);
• Experience with a variety of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.) (5-7 years);
• Experience with server load balancing solutions, which includes configuring multi-data center LB / GSLB services (5-7 years);
• Experience with Linux (RedHat), Windows, VMware, and other OS platforms (5-7 years);
• Experience with installing cabling and fiber infrastructure to support router and switch connectivity;
• Experience with upgrading networking equipment and software, including switches, routers, wireless hardware, and load balancers;
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA and CCNP or CCIE;
• Juniper Network Certifications: JNCIA or JNCIE;
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Installation, maintenance, optimization, and monitoring of wireless or wired network equipment and other routine network hardware;
• Perform analysis and monitoring of network availability and performance expectations; carry out performance tuning and assist in troubleshooting network issues; make network performance reports and statistics available to upper management;
• Provide support for single and multimode fiber and structured cabling for other systems, software, and communication links;
• Ensure that network segmentation controls are adequately designed to protect sensitive environments and comply with all departmental compliance requirements;
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of available documentation regarding processes, network mapping, and network configuration;
• Assist in maintaining procedures for disaster recovery, usage, and network administration;
• Collaborate with users and other technical teams on the identification, isolation, and correction of problems as well as enhancements to the existing network;
• Assist with the design of networks, IP, and routing summarization including configuring routers and switches;
• Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines established by department and industry best practices;
• Assist with the design and maintenance of the server load balancing and global load balancing environments;
• Recommend network design proposals for connectivity solutions for internal and external partners;
• Create detailed Visio diagrams in support of network hardware deployments;
• Stay current with network and infrastructure technologies through various methods including online research, vendor-hosted seminars and conferences, and/or free online courses.
