Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.

Required:

Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Boca Raton, FL (required);
Experience supporting low-voltage, telecommunications, structured cabling, construction, or IT infrastructure projects (2+ years);
Experience with copper cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, patch panels, jacks, patch cords, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting;
Experience with fiber optic cabling, including multimode and single-mode fiber, termination, OTDR/light-source testing, and documentation;
Experience with IT rooms (MDF/IDF), racks, patch panels, switches, cable management, and cable pathways (conduit, sleeves, J-hooks, cable trays, penetrations);
Experience reading floor plans, telecommunications drawings, riser diagrams, cable schedules, and project drawings;
Experience performing IT room and site surveys, reviewing contractor work against approved scope and drawings, and identifying installation deficiencies;
Experience with wireless access point installations and the physical infrastructure required to support them;
Experience coordinating contractor site visits and schedules, tracking project milestones, deliveries, quotes, invoices, and change requests, and maintaining project documentation (as-builts, test results);
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).

Preferred:

Experience working in a university, hospital, commercial, government, or large enterprise environment;
BICSI certification or related knowledge;
Experience with structured cabling standards and practices;
Experience reviewing contractor quotes and scopes of work;
Experience with fiber and copper certification test results;
Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Foxit, or similar PDF/drawing software;
Experience creating or reviewing as-built drawings;
Experience with Cisco, Mist, or other wireless/network equipment from an infrastructure/support perspective, including basic VLANs, switches, and access points;
Experience working with Facilities, IT, construction teams, and outside vendors.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management of low-voltage and telecommunications projects;
Conduct site walks and document existing conditions;
Coordinate with contractors to schedule cabling, fiber, AP, rack, and IT room work;
Review project scopes and contractor work, including cable labeling, patching, pathways, and rack installations, to confirm requirements are met;
Track open items, deficiencies, punch-list items, materials, deliveries, and project schedules;
Collect and organize fiber/copper test results, as-builts, and closeout documentation;
Assist with obtaining and comparing contractor quotes and reviewing invoices against completed work;
Ability to work in active construction and campus environments, including IT rooms and areas under renovation.
