Required:
- Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
- Experience in IT across multiple areas (7+ years);
- Experience with application architecture (2–3 years);
- Experience with architecture, application systems design, and integration at an advanced to expert level, specifically .NET;
- Experience with Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures, and API design and integration patterns;
- Experience with web application development and front-end frameworks/JavaScript libraries (Angular, React, Vue, etc.);
- Experience with Azure DevOps tools such as App Insights, Key Vault, and Blob Storage;
- Experience with SQL Server, relational database design, and Entity Relationship Diagrams;
- Experience with data access optimization, performance tuning, scalability, reliability and fault tolerance, and logging, monitoring, and observability;
- Experience with the SCRUM framework and financial systems such as an ERP.
Preferred:
- Experience with C# and ASP.NET Core;
- Experience with WebAPIs (RESTful services);
- Experience with Entity Framework and other ORM frameworks;
- Experience with .NET Framework and modern .NET (.NET 6+);
- Experience with Microsoft Azure;
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Design and document end-to-end application architectures using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including solution patterns, reference architectures, and design standards;
- Serve as primary technical architect for remediation of enterprise applications, improving code quality, addressing security vulnerabilities, and strengthening .NET infrastructure;
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to development teams, including review of code, pull requests, and design artifacts for architectural compliance;
- Use code scanning tools such as SonarQube to enhance code quality and release readiness, and replace legacy UI components (AngularJS, Kendo UI);
- Assess existing systems and guide modernization and migrations (legacy JCL/COBOL/FOCUS to .NET), prioritizing technical debt remediation;
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment strategies;
- Produce and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and architecture decision records (ADRs), and participate in architecture reviews.
