Senior IT Architect - Windows Server and Virtualization (Onsite) - Miami, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions

Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Miami, FL.
• Experience with Enterprise infrastructure engineering (10+ years).
• Experience with Infrastructure architecture or technical leadership role (5+ years).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
• Experience with VMware vSphere.
• Experience with ESXi.
• Experience with vCenter.
• VMware High Availability (HA).
• Experience with Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
• Experience with vMotion.
• Experience with Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI).
• Experience with Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV).
• Experience with Enterprise compute platforms supporting hundreds or thousands of virtual machines.
• Experience with Infrastructure automation solutions design and implementation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise or equivalent.
• Experience with PowerShell.
• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
• Experience with Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interfaces (REST APIs).
• Experience with Git-based workflows.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience with Entra ID.
• Experience with Hybrid cloud architectures (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred:
• Experience with Azure Arc.
• Experience with Nutanix Cloud Platform.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Experience with Containers.
• Experience with AI-enabled infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Define enterprise architecture standards for Windows Server, VMware, Azure Local, Nutanix, and enterprise compute platforms.
• Develop multi-year technology roadmaps for virtualization, Windows infrastructure, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and hybrid cloud.
• Design highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise compute platforms supporting mission-critical workloads.
• Architect enterprise virtualization solutions using VMware vSphere, Azure Local, and Nutanix AHV.
• Develop reference architectures for Windows Server lifecycle management, virtualization, disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform modernization.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives and establish enterprise automation standards for compute provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Design automated provisioning workflows for Windows servers, virtual machines, storage, networking, Active Directory integration, and enterprise infrastructure services.
