IT Project Manager (remote)
14900 – IT Project Manager (remote option) – Tallahassee, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: This position will allow for working remotely; however, preference will be given to candidates located in Florida.

Required:
• Experience with IT project management, including managing complex cross-functional projects (7+ years);
• Project Management certification or successful completion of an industry-recognized project management curriculum;
• Experience with project management methodologies including PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches;
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Teams);
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and IT service management principles;
• Experience with business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, and workflow documentation;
• Experience with risk management, including risk registers, mitigation strategies, and issue resolution;
• Experience with resource planning and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams;
• Experience with project governance and compliance standards for IT initiatives;
• Experience with quality assurance and quality control processes for project deliverables.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure project activities comply with applicable state IT governance standards, including documentation, oversight, and reporting requirements;
• Provide coordination, status reporting, and management of project-oriented work efforts across leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams;
• Lead and manage multiple medium-to-high complexity IT projects concurrently, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met;
• Develop and maintain project management artifacts, including charters, schedules, work breakdown structures, risk registers, and status reports;
• Perform independent oversight of large IT projects, assessing project health, risks, and progress against approved baselines;
• Coordinate communication among leadership, program areas, vendors, and stakeholders on project scope, budget, timelines, risks, and resources;
• Provide written weekly status reports on program performance, efficiency, progress, cost, quality, risks, and mitigation activities.
