Required:
Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases, as well as cloud architecture principles such as high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, and disaster recovery;
Experience with cloud security best practices including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks;
Experience with networking concepts including VPC design, routing, DNS, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity;
Experience with system administration practices in Linux and/or Windows environments.
Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions;
Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues in production environments;
Experience automating processes through scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash);
Experience monitoring, logging, and performance tuning using AWS-native and third-party tools;
Experience leading technical teams and coordinating solution delivery;
Experience architecting and implementing enterprise-level cloud solutions aligned with organizational goals;
Preferred:
Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with cloud cost optimization and governance frameworks.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
Experience working in a government or large enterprise environment.
Experience with Postgres, Aurora, Cosmo DB, SQL Server
Experience with JavaScript, Cloud Shell
Experience with Azure AD Federation Services/Entra ID, Identity and Access Management
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Designs, implements, and maintains scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures within Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support enterprise applications and services.
Serves as a technical lead and subject matter expert for AWS cloud solutions, providing guidance to development, infrastructure, and security teams on best practices and architecture standards.
Develops and enforces cloud governance, architecture standards, and operational procedures as part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).
Automates infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Monitors system performance, availability, and cost optimization across AWS environments, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Leads cloud migration efforts, including assessment, planning, design, and execution of on-premises to cloud transitions.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and deliver cloud-based solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
