Required:
  • Experience in IT business/industry (10+ years);
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database management systems (5+ years);
  • Experience with Sun Solaris operating systems and Oracle WebLogic;
  • Experience supporting multiple databases of medium to high complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring data integrity and accessibility (5+ years);
  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Warehouse, DevOps, or GitHub;
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau;
  • Experience with T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other database management languages;
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated processes including DBA jobs, DBA scheduler or SQL Server job scheduler, SSIS packages, ETL, pipelines, and CRON scripts;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS, including leading the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance;
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Sun Solaris, Oracle WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, Apex, and Solaris;
  • Experience working in a Unix environment;
  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex database infrastructure problems;
  • Experience writing PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers;
  • Experience designing logical databases and data models;
  • Experience with data privacy and protection initiatives;
  • Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional and/or Certified SQL Server Professional;

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and/or Oracle databases in Solaris-based production environments, including all stages of implementation and deployment;
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues using approved tools including OAM, Databricks, and Synapse;
  • Design and maintain automated processes including DBA jobs, SSIS packages, ETL pipelines, and CRON scripts;
  • Coordinate and deploy application changes including PL/SQL object and data model changes to production databases following industry best practices;
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance by implementing user roles, permissions, access controls, and quality assurance validations;
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data schema diagrams, and data dictionaries;
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members on database concepts and best practices; submit weekly project reports and timesheets.
