Material Supply Chain Coordinator (onsite)

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Hillsboro, TX (required);
  • Experience with material management, inventory control, logistics, construction support, or project operations (7+ years);
  • Experience with procurement, receiving, inventory control, and material reconciliation processes;
  • Experience supporting multiple projects and coordinating material movement across field locations;
  • Experience working with project teams, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional business groups;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, inventory systems.

Preferred:
  • Experience in utility, energy, construction, infrastructure, or industrial project environments;
  • Experience with material tracking systems, warehouse practices, and field logistics;
  • Experience supporting project cost tracking and coordination with accounting functions;
  • Experience with purchase orders, receiving documentation, invoice reconciliation, and job cost allocation;
  • Experience working in field-based environments with multiple contractors and vendors;
  • Experience with project management platforms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop and maintain material tracking processes for multiple active and early-stage projects, coordinating requirements with project managers, engineers, and construction teams;
  • Track materials from requisition and purchase through delivery, receipt, storage, transfer, installation, and final reconciliation;
  • Monitor and manage material movement between projects, warehouses, laydown yards, and field locations, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability;
  • Act as liaison between project management, engineering, contractors, purchasing, accounting, business management, and vendors;
  • Interface with material vendors and suppliers regarding order status, shipment schedules, delivery issues, and returns; support procurement teams with expediting and discrepancy resolution;
  • Maintain organized material records and prepare regular reports on material status, shortages, transfers, surplus, and inventory balances;
  • Investigate and resolve material discrepancies, damaged shipments, missing items, and invoicing mismatches; identify opportunities to improve material tracking and coordination processes;
  • May involve occasional lifting, walking, and standing; must be able to inspect materials in outdoor conditions and navigate active job sites safely.
