14605 - Business Analyst (Onsite) – Tallahassee, FL
Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
Experience with business analysis, requirements engineering, and quality assurance documentation (6+ years);
Experience supporting HR systems, HR workflows and payroll;
Experience with workflow automation, human resources systems (including state government payroll or position management), or government administrative computing applications;
Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies;
Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and test case design;
Experience with functional documentation, business requirements, and user story development with acceptance criteria;
Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project (advanced);
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a financial-related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Experience with Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, and test execution;
Experience with QA review processes and quality standards verification;
Experience with data analysis techniques, data validation, and data relationship validation;
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or ISTQB certification.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as primary liaison between systems support and HR subject-matter experts, translating business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria;
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles with stakeholders; develop testing strategies, data scenarios, and test plans to ensure functional requirements are met;
Manage user stories, project backlog, and sprint backlogs within Azure DevOps; participate in SCRUM ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives;
Produce deliverables including project schedules, implementation plans, business requirements, functional specifications, QA plans, and UAT artifacts;
Facilitate work sessions with HR subject-matter experts to elicit, prioritize, and document remediation requirements and identify functionality gaps;
Develop standardized desk procedures including purpose, prerequisites, process flows, and business process narratives;
Coordinate the development of project schedules and implementation plans for HR automation releases and present findings to management and technical staff;
