14586 – Early Stage Transmission Sr Project Manager (onsite, travel up to 30%) – Juno Beach, FL

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. This position is not responsible for the site-based construction management.
Current portfolio of projects spans the US and Canada.
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
• Experience with project management of high voltage transmission and substation projects (8+ years);
• Experience with early stage / pre-construction project activities including budget, schedule, procurement, engineering, permitting, and land coordination;
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects (>$100MM);
• Experience with multidisciplinary team coordination (Development, Land, Environmental, Procurement, Legal, Engineering, Operations);
• Experience with Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation and contracting for geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services;
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management.
Preferred:
• PMP Certification;
• Experience leading direct reports / managing a team of project managers;
Responsibilities:
• Manage early stage (pre-construction) process for high voltage transmission and substation projects, coordinating engineering, estimating, supply chain, and construction resources;
• Lead a team of project managers and oversee the regional project portfolio, ensuring each project is ready for handover to the construction PM with an executable construction plan;
• Develop project plans with emphasis on scope, constructability, schedule, and costs;
• Prepare Request for Proposal documentation to competitively source, select, and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, material, equipment, and construction services;
• Own and manage the project budget, supporting the cost estimating team with assumptions and delivering financial model inputs;
• Manage project schedules and communicate key risks to management, including presentations and briefings to various levels of leadership;
• Represent the Engineering & Construction business unit's interests on assigned projects spanning the US and Canada, including travel approximately 30% of the time;
