14532 – Database Administrator (Hybrid) – Austin, TX

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid. Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon& Tues) required to be onsite.

Required:
• Experience in database administration (8+ years);
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL (8+ years);
• Experience in database design, analysis, and performance tuning (8+ years);
• Experience designing enterprise applications and/or services (8+ years);
• Experience creating technical and functional design documentation (8+ years);
• Experience within software development Life Cycle using Agile methodology – (Scrum, for example), (8+ years);
• Experience with multi-tier system/application development – (SOA, Microservices, 3-Tier applications, for example), (8+ years);
Preferred:
• Experience with Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Azure SQL (6+ years);
• Experience with large volume databases, high availability, and disaster recovery infrastructure (4+ years);
• Experience in converting and adapting database structures for cloud environments, specifically Azure (4+ years);
• Experience in configuring PowerBI environments and developing PowerBI reports (3+ years);
• Experience in DevOps technology including CI/CD pipeline and build and deployment tools such as Git 3 years of experience with Azure (3+ years);
• Experience with migrating On-Prem databases to Cloud (preferably Azure) (2+ years);
• Azure certification;
• DBA Associate certifications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Administer and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability;
• Design, analyze, and tune database structures and queries to support enterprise‑scale applications and high‑volume workloads;
• Support multi‑tier, service‑oriented, and microservices architectures through effective database design and integration;
• Design and implement database solutions in Azure, including cloud optimization and migration from on‑premises environments;
• Develop and manage ETL processes to move and transform data into Azure SQL for analytics and reporting;
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and DevOps‑enabled CI/CD processes for database deployments;
• Produce technical and functional documentation and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
