14522 – Support System Administrator (hybrid) – Austin, TX

Type: Temporary Project

Work Setting: Hybrid.

Required:
• Experience with RHEL and Windows OS (8+ years).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Assess legacy Windows and RHEL servers to identify end‑of‑life versions, dependencies, and required upgrade paths.
• Plan and execute OS upgrades and migrations to supported versions (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and RHEL 5/6/7/8/9) with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with application owners and other stakeholders to schedule maintenance windows and validate post‑upgrade functionality.
• Implement security hardening and apply patches on upgraded systems to strengthen security and reduce vulnerabilities.
• Monitor system performance before and after migrations, tuning configurations to ensure stability and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot OS‑level issues on Windows and RHEL platforms, resolving incidents and supporting operational continuity.
• Document migration procedures, configurations, and standard operating procedures to support ongoing operations and future upgrades.
