Project Manager (hybrid)

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid, 2 days remote with 3 days (Mon, Wed and Fri) required to be onsite.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:
• Experience managing project with implementations across large organizations. Experience should include developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans (10 years);
• Experience researching, gathering, assembling, correlating, and analyzing facts; to devise solutions to problems; and to prepare concise reports and/or to analyze and solve complex and difficult problems (10 years);
• Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensure business requirements get translated into technical specifications, guide, and facilitate the SDLC process (10 years);
• Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholder. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills (10 years);
• Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues and develop and present weekly status updates and conduct regular project team meetings (10 years);
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment (10 years);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (10 years);
• Agile methodology, overseeing and tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments align with project timelines (8 years);
• Agile Experience - Managing the project with feature driven sprints (8 years);
• Experience leading and drive multi-million dollar software and IT projects (8 years).

Preferred:
• Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for 1 or more State of Texas Agencies (1 year);
• Experience in healthcare or Public Health (1 year);
• PMP Certification.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Plan, manage, and oversee enterprise-level IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and contingency strategies.
• Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications and delivered solutions.
• Coordinate Agile project activities, including sprint planning, tracking development progress, and ensuring deliverables meet project timelines.
• Facilitate communication between project sponsors, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
• Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, conduct team meetings, and escalate project risks, issues, and blockers to leadership when necessary.
• Lead cross-functional teams working on large-scale software and IT initiatives, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and successful project execution.
