14466 – Security Software Engineer (onsite) – Austin, TX

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Austin, TX (required);
• Experience building security automation and platform integrations (8 years);
• Experience with penetration testing tools and Kali Linux environments (8 years).

Preferred:
• Experience in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, or C# (3 years);
• Experience developing REST APIs and integrating enterprise platforms (3 years);
• Experience developing security data pipelines and SIEM integrations (3 years);
• Experience designing scalable and resilient security tool architectures (3 years).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Build advanced security automation and platform integrations
• Engineer and maintain penetration‑testing toolchains using Kali Linux and related tools
• Develop security data pipelines and integrate telemetry into SIEM platforms
• Design scalable, resilient architectures for security tools and automation systems
• Develop and integrate APIs, REST services, and enterprise platform connectors
• Implement containerized and virtualized environments (Docker, VMware, cloud labs)
• Support cybersecurity modernization initiatives under the client’s Office of the CISO
