Required:
• Experience involving utility solar power systems (5+ years);
• Experience in utility-scale photovoltaic construction and commissioning;
with utility-scale photovoltaic components (PV modules, combiners, inverters, transformers, met stations, substations);
Preferred:
• Experience working with electrical grid participants such as Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators, and Balancing Authorities (1-3 years);
• Professional or graduate-level academic experience in utility PV systems

Responsibilities:
• Oversee EPC and OEM commissioning activities including installation quality, compliance with procedures, system walkdowns, mechanical completion, and punch‑list management.
• Lead energization and testing phases by creating energization plans, managing pre‑energization activities, and directing substation testing, metering testing, and full system startup.
• Manage ISO/GIA/PPA performance testing by interpreting contractual requirements, developing complete testing plans, and coordinating all internal and external stakeholders for test execution.
• Serve as the Owner’s on‑site representative, ensuring safety, quality control, schedule adherence, and accurate reporting across all commissioning and turnover activities.

• Ensure all commissioning work complies with safety policies, project specifications, codes (NEC/NFPA), and contractual obligations including PPA and GIA requirements.
• Lead and support reliability efforts to ensure plants achieve stable, low‑downtime performance at operational turnover.
