14433 – Commissioning Supervisor (onsite) – Juno Beach, FL

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client

Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
• Experience with electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA
• Experience with supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting
• Experience with E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting
• Experience with protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting
• Experience with Drawing review quality control inspection
• Experience with Progress reporting
• Experience with Outlook, PDF edit Word, Excel, document control systems and PowerPoint
• Experience with management of third parties and suppliers
• Experience with management of direct report team members
• Experience with schedule and planning
Preferred:
• Experience in on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning (5+ years)
• Experience working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning (3 years)
• Experience with quality, execution, and safety
• Experience in interacting with engineering personnel on highly technical issues, constructability, schedule, and cost issues as well
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring commissioning activities for assigned projects are performed with high quality and adhering to all Nextera Energy and FPL safety policies.
• Responsible for coordination and management of, EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site, as it relates to site commissioning and startup.
• Responsible for project reliability at operational turnover with plants exhibiting as little lost time as necessary in initial operation.
• Responsible for compliance with all project contractual documents to include Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility
• Ensure proper interface is made with Transmission Operators and Independent Service Operators to ensure project energization dates are achieved.
• Management of Client’s onsite commissioning personnel
• Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties
