14421 – ServiceNow Developer (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience configuring, designing, and developing in the ServiceNow Platform (4+ years)
• experience in JavaScript, HTML, XML, Json, and SQL.
• Experience with ITSM and CSM modules.
• Experience developing client scripts and UI policies.
• Experience integrating with Microsoft.
• Experience integrating with a third-party system (i.e. Oracle, SSO).
• Experience configuring custom email templates.
• Experience implementing security policies using ACLs (Access Control Lists), roles, groups, and authentication mechanism.
• Experience with customizing Service Now Portals.
• Experience Performance Tuning.
• Experience with configuring Service Level Agreements.
• Experience with State and Federal laws applicable to the implementation of an information technology solution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating with multiple levels of Department staff, from leadership (e.g., Project Director) to technical and functional staff, as well as with external stakeholders.
• Experience with industry and State information technology requirements.
• Experience with Project Management.
• Experience with State procurement and contract monitoring requirements.
• ServiceNow Certifications (Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD))
Preferred:
• Experience with data extractions and conversions.
• Experience with Data Security.
• ServiceNow Certifications (or comparable ServiceNow industry recognized credentials) Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) or Certified Implementation Specialist – Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Design, configure, and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform
Implement new modules, enhance existing functionality, and ensure alignment with ITSM/CSM best practices and agency requirements.
• Develop and maintain custom applications, scripts, and integrations
Create client scripts, UI policies, business rules, and workflows; build integrations using REST/SOAP, Microsoft connectors, and third‑party systems such as Oracle or SSO providers.
• Configure and optimize ServiceNow portals and user interfaces
Customize Service Portal widgets, themes, and layouts to improve usability, accessibility, and compliance with State standards.
• Implement and enforce platform security
• Configure ACLs, roles, authentication mechanisms, and data access rules to meet State and Federal security requirements.
• Manage performance tuning and platform optimization
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to ensure stability and responsiveness.
• Configure and maintain operational components
Set up SLAs, notifications, custom email templates, and automated workflows to support ITSM/CSM processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and support project delivery
Work with leadership, technical teams, functional staff, and external partners to gather requirements, provide updates, support project management activities, and ensure successful solution implementation.
