Our Client is hiring a Principal Engineer (remote) in Juno Beach, FL (18978)

Required:
• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action.
• Travel required within North America.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

Preferred:
• Experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects. (10+ years)
• PMP and/or P.E. Not required to stamp engineering drawings.
• Master of Science or MBA Degree

Responsibilities:
• Be part of the team developing substation projects from conception (Early Stage) through construction and commissioning (Execution).
• In the conceptual phase, work with the Early-Stage Project Manager and Development Group to support the project engineering requirements and scope.  Projects can begin as FERC 1000 competitive transmission project proposals, or as greenfield projects for NEER affiliates (Lone Star, GridLiance, FPL).
• Plan, coordinate and complete large-scale or several medium, complex or long-term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
• Secure required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes.
• Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
• Identify issues, measure and validate results, and implement solutions to project challenges.
• Provide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.

Substation Engineer (onsite) in Palm Beach Gardens, FL (18925)
Required:

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Palm Beach Gardens, FL (required);
• Experience with NERC compliance requirements;
• Experience in substation engineering, construction, and/or management;
• Experience with asset management systems and document management systems;
• Experience managing substation physical, electrical, relay, and equipment drawings, as well as protection and control system documentation;
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (other engineering degrees considered with relevant experience).

Preferred:
• Experience with Maximo and Documentum;
• Experience in power generation or renewable energy technology.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise the contracting team to execute processes in the field;
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational readiness;
• Support the transfer of asset attributes into the asset management system (Maximo) and support the activation of required preventive maintenance (PM) tasks;
• Interface primarily with construction and design engineers, solar and energy storage project managers, and operations teams;
• Manage the storage of all drawings and "As-Builts" in document management systems post-construction;
• Support control center operations checkout processes and manage communication protocol tracking files;
• Ensure transfer and storage of important regulatory and contract documents, such as FAC, MOD, CIP, and agreements like PPA and GIA.
