Work Setting: Remote.
Required:
• Experience with TSS (Top Secret Security) (8+ years)
• Experience with z/OS Administration (5+ years)
• Experience with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS),
Storage Management Subsystem (SMS) (5+ years)
• Experience with TLS configuration (certificates, SSL – RSA Keys, SFTP, FTPS) (3+ years)
Preferred:
• Experience with REXX (2+ years)
• Experience with performance monitoring to include initial analysis of performance issues (3+ years)
• Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration (3+ years)
• Working knowledge for each of the following: z/OS Operation, z/OS Networking – VTAM (Virtual Telecommunications Access Method), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) (3+ years)
• Working knowledge of each of the following: z/OS-centric automated job scheduling and management software (JOBTRAC), Terminal Emulator Software (BLUEZONE) and VTAM Session Manager Software (VTAM/SWITCH) (3+ years)
• Working knowledge of each of the following: SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended), RMF (Resource Measurement Facility), SMF (System Management Facility) and WLM (Workload Management) (3+ years)
• Working knowledge of each of the following: JCL (Job Control Language), GRS (Global Resource Serialization), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method) and TSO (Time Sharing Option) (3+ years)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Act as the subject‑matter expert in Mainframe Top Secret Security Administration to ensure data security and regulatory compliance.
• Perform senior‑level systems administration for agency mainframe applications and infrastructure, including configuration, break/fix support, and user account management.
• Provide hands‑on expertise in Top Secret Security (TSS) and z/OS Administration, supporting releases, upgrades, and changes.
• Manage certificate renewals, access control, and enforce compliance, audit, and risk mitigation practices within mainframe environments.
• Execute routine administration functions such as security support, performance monitoring, security monitoring, and system maintenance.
• Oversee and coordinate mainframe operations in the State’s Consolidated Data Center Services (DCS), collaborating with Network Administration, Customer Support, and Applications Development teams.
• Support Informatica Power Exchange Administration for Change Data Capture processing using IMS and VSAM mainframe data sources and targets.
