14341 - Senior Oracle Database Engineer (onsite) – Miami, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required);
• Experience with installing, configuring, administering, upgrading, and performing disaster recovery for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in on-premise environments (5+ years)
• Experience with Oracle internals, including SYS views, system tables, locking, consistency, serialization, and performance tuning
• Experience with SQL tuning, database performance analysis, and configuration optimization
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and management
• Experience with systems engineering and OS administration on AIX/Linux, including performance, memory, I/O tuning, security, clustering, and troubleshooting
• Experience with scripting using shell and at least one language such as Python, Perl, TCL, or PowerShell, including use in DevOps and CI/CD contexts
Preferred:
• Experience with SAP Oracle DBA
• Experience in database engineering, administration, or management roles (5+ years)
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, maintain, and monitor Oracle and PostgreSQL databases supporting critical operational systems.
• Develop, document, and implement database guidelines, standards, procedures, and dictionaries.
• Integrate systems through database design and support operational efficiencies in existing technical infrastructure and business processes.
• Work directly with customers and application vendors to resolve database, systems, and infrastructure issues and provide architecture leadership.
• Design and develop solutions to improve and enhance database operational processes and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor internal customers and teammates on database platforms, and participate in rotational support and development activities.
