Mechanical/Electrical/I&C Coordinator (onsite with travel)

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 6+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Onsite, traveling to work site and work at overhaul/outage schedule

Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Indiantown, FL/ Loxahatchee, FL (required);
• Experience with generator maintenance in the power generation industry (7+ years);
• Experience supervising power plant overhaul and outage planning and execution activities;
• Experience acting as Owner Representative to coordinate with vendors and ensure contracted work meets safety, quality, and schedule requirements;
• Experience qualifying and complying (In-Plant Clearance) procedures
• Experience performing maintenance oversight on steam/combustion turbines, HRSGs, boilers, valves, or Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment (for Mechanical Coordinators);
• Experience supervising maintenance of generators, exciters, auxiliary electrical equipment, grounding systems, and medium/low voltage transformers; familiarity with P&IDs (for Electrical Coordinators);
• Experience with calibration, testing, and tuning of instrumentation and control systems; hands-on field work on Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as GE Mark 5/6 or Ovation; commissioning and startup of DCS; and interpretation of P&IDs and technical drawings (for I&C Coordinators);
• Ability to work while wearing industrial personal protective equipment, including respirators, and perform physical tasks such as climbing turbine decks and entering boilers.


Preferred:
• Experience with P91 welding practices or oversight (for Mechanical coordinator only)


Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, or I&C maintenance activities during power plant outages and overhauls.
• Serve as the Owner Representative for ensuring vendor work aligns with technical specifications, safety protocols, and project timelines.
• Plan and execute outage scopes, including resource scheduling, work sequencing, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance and site-specific safety and clearance requirements.
• Perform hands-on oversight of critical equipment including turbines, boilers, HRSGs, generators, exciters, transformers, and DCS systems.
• Review and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to validate installation and maintenance work.
• Travel to multiple work sites and adapt to rotating outage schedules, often requiring extended time away from home.
