14237 - Capital Projects Electrical Engineer (onsite) – Jupiter, FL

Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Jupiter, FL (required);
• Collective nuclear experience in US nuclear power plants (exclude international experience) (12+ years);
• Experience with nuclear standards, the nuclear industry standard design process, independent design verification, preparing stand-alone electrical calculations, preparing procurement specifications, and 10CFR50.59;
• Experience with molded case circuit breakers, motor starters, thermal overloads, low voltage power breakers and switchgear, medium voltage power breakers and switchgear, industrial battery chargers, industrial inverters or UPS, 125Vdc battery systems, Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs), large dry type or oil filled transformers, main generators, voltage regulators, etc.;
• Experience in the power systems engineering area or experience related to sensors, analog or digital electronics and cyber security.
Preferred:
• Experience with ladder logic, electrical schematics, NSCA/safe shutdown analysis (Appendix R/NFPA 805), power systems analysis (load flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash, coordination studies) as well as computational tools such as ETAP, EDISON, etc;
• Experience as a cognizant/oversight engineer or engineering project management (design/project engineering related);
• Experience with Client’s nuclear power facilities
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical interface with engineering firms on project development and prepare/review engineering documents using the applicable industry and regulatory standards;
• Plan and organize an engineering project and apply complex engineering skills;
• Make independent decisions which are not regularly subject to technical review;
• Prepare or review/verify design output documents (i.e. design changes, calculations, specifications, etc) for internally developed design changes;
• May supervise a small group of engineering professionals as a project leader;
• Work on projects involving electrical distribution systems, power breakers, switchgear, generators, and transformers
