14224 - Senior Energy Data Scientist (onsite) – Juno Beach, FL

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
• Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics (5+ years);
• Experience with energy, power, or commodities markets (2+ years);
• Experience with Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and SQL;
• Experience with ML/AI model development, fine-tuning, and deployment (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, LLMs, generative AI, RAG pipelines);
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks and autonomous decision systems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI);
• Experience with statistics, linear algebra, optimization, feature engineering, and model interpretability;
• Experience with time-series forecasting and scenario modeling (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, XGBoost, Monte Carlo, VaR);
• Experience with power and commodity markets, trading instruments, and regulatory datasets (ISO/RTO, DA/RT, FTRs, CRRs, PPAs, futures, swaps, FERC, EIA);
• Experience with data engineering and architecture (ETL/ELT, dbt, Airflow, Prefect, cloud warehouses like Databricks/Snowflake);
• Experience with vector databases for retrieval-augmented analytics (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate);
• Experience with analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly);
• Experience integrating external data (weather, grid, market signals) into predictive models;
• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
Responsibilities:
• Develop and integrate applications into the technical infrastructure and business processes;
• Collaborate with analysts to analyze, design, develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and enhance systems;
• Design, deploy, and optimize ML/AI models for energy and commodity market forecasting;
• Build and fine-tune generative AI models (LLMs, RAG pipelines) for automated analytics and market insights;
• Create autonomous agentic systems or trading assistants for real-time monitoring, forecasting, and decision-making;
• Perform time-series forecasting and scenario modeling (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, XGBoost) for market and renewable generation;
• Implement stochastic modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, and VaR analysis for trading, hedging, or dispatch strategies.
