14139 – Project Manager (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience in IT project management, specifically in managing medium-to-large scale software application development projects (5+ years)
• Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently (5+ years)
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Experience with principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs
• Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.)
• Documented and proven ability to formulate project plans for managing and monitoring progress on software development projects; to think logically and to analyze and solve problems; compile, organize and analyze data; to evaluate and monitor projects, plans and schedules and implement corrective action plans.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate and facilitate work across software developers, business analysts, data analysts, and other technical and non‑technical subject‑matter experts, including DevOps, DBAs, Network Administrators, Enterprise Development Architects, and PMO, to resolve issues and remove application barriers.
• Manage changes by identifying impacts, following established change protocols, and clearly communicating changes to affected stakeholders.
• Plan and coordinate resources and assignments across project team members to ensure appropriate task ownership and that agreed service levels are consistently met.
• Apply and enforce DEP project management methodologies, standards, policies, procedures, and relevant technical standards on all assigned user stories and tasks.
• Build, manage, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with DEP program‑area business partners, technical staff, and the vendor community to achieve positive project outcomes.
• Lead requirements‑definition activities with DEP customers, including gathering and negotiating user requirements, analyzing data, and documenting requirements in formats the project team can readily understand.
• Produce and use business analysis and design deliverables (such as Visio process maps, traceability matrices, use cases, test cases, data/business rules, and wireframes), support business process redesign, and lead or participate in system testing activities.
