14114 - Systems Administrator (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience with directly supporting Linux server operating systems (5+ years);
• Experience with leveraging command line and scripting languages such as Bash, shell scripts, and YAML;
• Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure Technologies;
• Experience with implementing and supporting DevOps (including CI/CD) and DevSecOps processes;
• Experience supporting and maintaining code repositories, such as GitLab;
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Experience in networking, DNS, and Active Directory concepts;
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies;
• Ability to process information logically and solve problems;
• Ability to find, understand, and share information relevant to troubleshooting and project research;
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot distributed systems;
• Ability to work as part of a team;
• Ability to effectively communicate verbal and written information;
• Ability to work after normal work hours, weekends and holidays;
• Ability to provide thoughtful input based on experience and research.
Preferred:
• Experience with code technologies to employ IaC (Infrastructure as Code);
• Experience with Elasticsearch, or other, searching & analytics engines to assist with server logging maintenance;
• Experience with environmental regulatory business processes and practices;
• Experience with and understanding of the client's technical environment;
Responsibilities:
• Configure, tune, document, manage, and monitor Linux-based servers, Oracle Forms Fusion Middleware, and Azure Kubernetes Service;
• Support application deployment activities and advise management on new or improved technologies and practices;
• Provide system software support through problem diagnosis and implementation of changes to resolve issues;
• Oversee the operation of systems, perform OS and application patching, and ensure correct backups;
• Coordinate with the security officer to protect agency data and help improve security practices;
• Research and offer suggestions for furthering the automation of tasks;
• Contribute to team documentation to support assigned functions, duties, and responsibilities for knowledge transfer.
