14098 - Couchbase Database Administrator (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL

Estimated Duration: 9+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. Telecommuting may be allowed with written approval by the Agency.

Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required)
• Experience as a Couchbase Database Administrator (4-10 years)
• Experience with installing, configuring, administering, and supporting Couchbase Server instances, including NoSQL data storage and retrieval
• Experience with Couchbase Index creation, Management, and Tuning
• Experience with database/bucket capacity , including storage, memory, and processing power.
• Experience with robust backup and archival strategies to ensure data integrity and enable quick recovery from failures
• Experience with security measures, including access control, encryption, patching, and auditing
• Experience with diagnosing and resolving database issues, including performance problems and security breaches
• Experience with automation routine tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and maintenance, using scripts and tools
• Experience with troubleshooting
• Experience with managing Cross Data Center Replication (XDCR) of the Couchbase environment;
• Experience with performing SDK libraries, kernel, and operating system upgrades


Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and support Couchbase Server instances, including NoSQL data storage and retrieval
• Monitor and maintain database health, identify bottlenecks, and improve database efficiency
• Plan and manage database capacity to meet current and future needs
• Implement backup and archival strategies to ensure data integrity
• Maintain database security measures, including access control and patching
• Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance problems and security breaches
• Maintain clear documentation of the Couchbase Server environment
