14053 - Energy Storage Engineer (onsite) – Juno Beach, FL

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid with 25% travel for project-specific duties. Driving is required as part of the position duties/work.
Required
• Experience supporting the design phase and engineering major components for large-scale energy storage projects (8+ years);
• Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties;
• Active Driver License
Preferred
• Experience with Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction experience (3+ years);
• Experience with one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design;
• Experience with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters;
• Experience with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections);
• Experience with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730;
• Professional Engineering certification.
Responsibilities
• Plan, design, and execute various energy storage projects.
• Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects.
• Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts.
• Support projects from inception to completion by working closely with project managers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment.
• Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls.
• Stay updated on project progress and technical issues.
• Manage project milestones and recognize risks.
