13996 – Data Security Engineer (onsite) – Miami, FL

Type: Full-time direct employment with Vitaver Staffing Client
Work Setting: Hybrid in Miami. Travel: less than 10%, visiting brands and BISO teams
Required:
• Availability to work occasionally at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required);
• Experience working as Data Security Engineer;
• IT experience at a global scale (10+ years);
• Cyber security experience working with data security programs (5+ years);
• Experience with Purview
• Protect Data: Encryption and Masking experience;
• Experience with DLP (Data loss prevention);
• Experience with Data Governance (taking data and creating sensitive information types)
• Landscape analysis, classification experience;
• Experience with regulations and standards such as GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Monitor and manage data loss prevention (DLP) environments, continuously enhancing policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Integrate existing data protection controls into an overall data security strategy.
• Partner with each operating unit lead to ensure policies and controls are adequate.
• Maintain compliance with relevant data protection regulations, including GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.
• Work with operating units to add new criteria as needed and ensure that data security policies and controls are adequately and effectively implemented.
• Ensure KPIs related to data security are accurately tracked and reported
