13957 - Configuration Manager (onsite) – Austin, TX

Estimated Duration: 3+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid 2 days per week onsite.
 
Required:
• Availability to work 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at the Client’s site in Austin, TX (required);
• Experience with ITIL configuration management principles and best practices (5 years);
• Experience in developing and maintaining configuration management processes and policies (5 years);
• Experience supporting and maintaining CMDB platforms such as BMC Helix, ServiceNow, Atlassian, etc. (5 years);
• Experience performing regular configuration audits to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with the CM plan and system objectives (4 years);
• Experience verifying and auditing the configuration status and assisting with configuration verification to ensure CIs are consistent with specifications and requirements (4 years);
• Experience as a Configuration Manager or in a similar role overseeing IT Service Management processes and standards (3-5 years);
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
 
Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs;
• Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies;
• Oversee the configuration management process, ensuring all configuration items (CI) are accurately documented and maintained;
• Establish and maintain the configuration management plan;
• Coordinate with various IT teams to enforce CM practices;
• Define configuration identifications and manage configuration changes;
• Conduct reviews and audits to ensure compliance with HHS agency policies and standards.
