13950 - Financial Systems Modernization Manager (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: onsite 2-3 days per week. Or at most, 3-days a week remote.
Required:
• Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience as a software architect or lead developer, with broad experience working with development technologies (20+ years);
• Experience working with SQL Server, Classic ASP, and Microsoft C# MVC (15+ years);
• Experience with Office of Work Program and Budget (OWPB) application and reporting environment, as well as the Florida PALM system and its integration with OWPB financial systems;
• Experience with terminology and concepts of relational databases, including advanced SQL proficiency, and familiarity with cloud architecture and data integration;
• Experience with modern development tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio;
• Experience with FOCUS and WebFOCUS, as well as modern programming languages and frameworks;
• Experience with Informatica suite of data integration and governance tools like PowerCenter and Cloud Data Integration, and experience with data warehousing initiatives;
• Experience with the management, development, and maintenance of software systems dealing with complex financial business processes, including the transition to cloud-based solutions;
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) including IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server, and experience with data model planning and transformation.
Preferred:
• Experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure DevOps
Responsibilities:
• Provides subject matter expertise for applications dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects, ensuring that robust and scalable solutions are implemented;
• Provides guidance and oversight to quality assurance on modernization of existing systems from inception through integration, staging, and production environments;
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves problems as a team, providing guidance through the use of troubleshooting tools and techniques;
• Works with the team toward continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborates with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation;
• Works in partnership with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards;
• Develops and applies knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies, and methodologies;
• Reviews Florida PALM interface offerings, file definitions, and standardized business processes to determine remediation required for Department financial related computing assets.
