13949 – Lead Developer, Legacy Applications (remote) – Tallahassee, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Remote option (onsite to onboard required)
Required:
• Experience as a lead developer or development manager (7+ years);
• Experience with development technologies including COBOL, CA Gen, Classic ASP, DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases (5+ years);
• Experience with terminology and concepts of DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases, including SQL proficiency;
• Experience with Computer Associates’ CA Gen workstation toolset for web server, online and batch procedures;
• Experience with Computer Associates’ CA Gen Com Proxy service and COBOL;
• Experience with Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) web page development languages VB and J-script;
• Experience with IBM Z-Server, CICS, JCL, and COBOL;
• Experience with development and maintenance of software systems dealing with complex financial business processes;
• Experience conducting complex systems analysis and translating user requirements into business solutions;
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio/.Net.
Responsibilities:
• Works as a developer and subject matter expert for applications dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects, ensuring that robust and scalable solutions are implemented;
• Provides guidance and oversight to quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging and production environments;
• Provides hands-on support to peers and mentors others;
• Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems and issues using troubleshooting tools and techniques as well as teamwork;
• Works with team toward continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborates with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation;
• Works in partnership with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project is communicated, supported and delivered to the highest standards;
• Develops and applies knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies and methodologies.
