13947 - PV Commissioning Project Manager (onsite) – Juno Beach, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions.
Work Setting: Hybrid with up to 40% travel to project locations. Other work is remote in supporting teams in remote SCADA monitoring and Commissioning portfolio management.
Required:
• Availability to travel up to 40% to project locations in the US;
• Engineering or professional electrical experience in power systems in commissioning Solar or Energy Storage (5+ years);
• Experience with Utility Scale Solar projects;
• Experience with management of substation testing and startup;
• Experience with interconnect coordination for commissioning activities (Transmission Operators, PPA, ISO);
• Experience with Inverters, Trackers, Weather stations, SCADA, transformers, combiners;
• Experience with DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV);
• Experience with troubleshooting electronic equipment (protection relays, inverters, RTU’s etc.);
• Experience with control and SCADA systems and troubleshooting;
• Experience with Electrical Code, means and methods
Preferred:
• Experience with Solar and SCADA;
• Experience with Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting
Responsibilities:
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring and/or tape.
• Prolonged periods of standing with intermittent kneeling or bending.
• Must be physically capable of walking on the jobsite on varied, uneven terrain and/or varied temperatures and weather elements.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle for purposes of commuting between 2 working locations.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds at a time.
• Perform detailed system quality control inspections for completeness of installation vs. install manuals, engineering specifications and drawings and maintain detailed punch-list.
• Perform system walkdowns for mechanical complete prior to turnover or energization.
• Oversee the EPC and OEM commissioning procedures, status, and compliance.
