13900 – Senior Metering Project Engineer (Hybrid) – West Palm Beach, Daytona/Sanford, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid Schedule. Remote option will be considered.
Required:
• Experience in relevant P&C/Substation Engineering (3+ years, 5+ years preferred);
• Project Management experience (2+ years preferred);
• Metering experience (ability to read protection & control drawings, understanding of instrument transformers including type, accuracy, & burden (CT, PTs, CVTs), familiarity with a variety of metering technologies with a focus on Schneider Electric ION-8650 meters, understanding of meter to meter (peer to peer) schemes, familiarity with iron (Fe) and copper (Cu) loss compensation methods for transformers, generator tie line loss compensation, sharing losses amongst different technologies or PPA customers, and the ability to program meters or create metering templates) (3-5 years);
• Experience coordinating a wide variety of stake holders;
• Experience managing third party engineering companies;
• Bachelor's in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Master’s – Engineering Management preferred.
Preferred:
• Experience with commercial/contractual agreements;
• Experience working for an Independent System Operator (ISO) (IE: SPP, MISO, CAISO, etc);
• Experience with Reviewing Large Generator Interconnection Agreements (LGIAs)
• Experience with Reviewing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
• Experience with Retail service provider agreements
• Experience with Communication protocols such as modbus, DNP3, MV90
• Experience with SE ION-8650 meters
• Experience with Schneider’s ION Setup & PME Software Suites
• Experience with SEL-735 meters
• Experience with SEL’s AcSELerator Software
• Experience with Orion LX interface
• Experience with IEEE-519 2014 Harmonic Standard
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• PMP Certification
Responsibilities:
• Interpret and organize customer, commercial, and internal metering requirements.
• Coordinate cross functional teams for the execution of technical metering documents and implementation of metering requirements into engineering design.
• Evaluate, select, and apply diversified knowledge of metering concepts and best practices to a broad variety of projects.
• Oversee the work of external Metering EORs and perform project management duties.
• Provide engineering, design, and development support.
• Track and report on project contractual execution and design progress.
• Deliver company standards, policies, and support of organization.
