13790– Data Architect (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL

Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: a hybrid work model, comprised of variable, but not less than 25% onsite work with a remote work option for the remaining time would be considered.
Required:
• Availability to work 25% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse (2+ years);
• Experience in architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting cloud-based data lakes, including lake layers and bucket structures in AWS S3 and related Apache Foundation tools such as Parquet (3+ years);
• Experience in architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting cloud data lakehouse structures and tools such as Databricks or open-source technology such as Delta Lake, Hudi, and Iceberg (2+ years);
• Experience with data modeling (including Entity Relationship, Logical, Conceptual, and Physical models), and data profiling/reverse engineering in both schema-on-read and schema-on-write environments (10+ years);
• Experience with such methods (i.e., ETL/batch, CDC, Streaming) using tools such as Informatica, AWS Glue, MuleSoft, Spark, AWS Kinesis, or Kafka (6+ years);
• Experience with SQL programming (6+ years);
• Experience with Python or a similar object-oriented high-level programming language (3+ years);
• Experience with AWS Lambda functions (1+ years);
• Experience in architecting and engineering relational (both row and columnar) and NoSQL (i.e., Document, Graph, Vector, Key-Value) databases (5+ years);
• Experience working with security teams to architect and engineer data protection, data loss prevention, user role and attribute-based access controls (RBAC or ABAC), and privacy compliance (with an emphasis on HIPAA) within a cloud data and analytics ecosystem (3+ years);
• Experience in designing and implementing internal and external data sharing hubs, as well as incorporating the use of, governing, and optimizing APIs for data exchanges (3+ years);
• Experience in utilizing Dev or DataOps processes (2+ years);
• Experience in architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting data governance/management solutions: Data Quality, Data Catalog and/or Metadata Management, and Data Profiling/Lineage in tools such as Informatica IDMC, Collibra, or Precisely (3+ years);
• Experience in architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting a Master Data Management (MDM) solution using tools such as Informatica MDM, Semarchy, or Reltio (2+ years);
• Experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based Analytics & Business Intelligence (ABI) tools such as Qlik, Tableau or PowerBI (4+ years);
• Experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based Data Science and Machine Learning platforms (DSML) such as SAS Viya, AWS Sagemaker, or Dataiku, including statistical model life-cycle management, endpoints, and machine learning (2+ years);
• Experience with Erwin data modeler;
• Current data and/or analytics certification such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP). Eighteen or more hours of participation in webinars or conferences over the last 3 years related to data and analytics;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics/Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Health Informatics, or a related field.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Provide technical, data, and process subject matter expertise and championship to the Department related to all aspects of the Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform (EDAP) project;
• Provide architecture, modeling, and design services;
• Provide EDAP-related technical, data analysis, evaluation, and engineering services;
• Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams, and leads, workgroups, and other stakeholders identified by the Department regarding the Project activities, deliverables, and status;
• Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, in collaboration with project team members identified by the Department in all phases of the Project;
• Actively participate in project status meetings.
