13571 – Procurement Engineer (onsite) – Riviera Beach, FL
Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration:4 months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Required: • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Riviera Beach, FL (required); • Experience in procurement engineering, especially in the nuclear or energy sector. • Experience with design standards, quality assurance, and engineering documentation. • Experience with automated purchasing and materials management computer systems. • Experience developing testing, inspection, and acceptance criteria for parts and materials. • Experience with relevant codes and standards, including Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) criteria. • Experience with sound engineering judgment for evaluating and testing materials and components. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or a related technical field.
Preferred: • Attendance at EPRI Nuclear Utility Procurement Training. • Direct experience in mechanical engineering or related disciplines. • Cross-disciplinary experience, such as Seismic, Civil/Structural, Equipment Qualification, or Project Engineering. • Experience with reverse engineering and material safety classifications. • Experience in nuclear industry regulations and standards for quality and safety. • Experience in plant configuration management and corrective action programs.
Responsibilities: • Establish procurement methodology including developing Commercial Grade Dedication criteria. • Establish reverse engineering requirements and provides a plan or methodology to collect measurements, conduct inspections and analysis for a variety of materials and components. • Establish procurement engineering documents which result in accurate technical and quality information supporting proper procurement and cost savings where appropriate. • Establish material safety classifications and quality levels by researching design and regulatory documents. • Establish procurement engineering documents which result in accurate technical and quality information supporting proper procurement and cost savings where appropriate. • Maintain plant configuration utilizing or initiating appropriate change document (item • equivalency or design change). • Provide consistency in application and standardization for procurement engineering evaluations/reviews including commercial grade dedications, material analysis, and reverse engineering (RE) of components.
