Work Setting: Telecommuting under this contract is required.
Required:
• Experience in data engineering, including designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes (3+ years);
• Experience in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Experience with relational database design and data modeling.
• Experience with implementing data warehouses, data lakes, or data lakehouses.
• Experience with Alteryx Designer. (3+ years);
• Experience with environmental science, water quality, or related fields.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support environmental and water quality data workflows
• Develop and maintain data solutions using Python and SQL for extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Create and optimize relational database schemas and data models aligned with business and scientific requirements
• Architect and deploy data warehouses, data lakes, or data lakehouses to enable advanced analytics and reporting
• Leverage Alteryx Designer to automate data preparation, blending, and analytical workflows
• Apply domain knowledge in environmental science and water quality to inform data strategy and solution design
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense to communicate insights to stakeholders
