Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration:12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% on Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work.
Required: • Availability to work 100% at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required); • Experience in data engineering with Alteryx Designer, including designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes (3-5 years); • Experience in programming languages such as Python and SQL. • Experience with relational database design and data modeling.
Preferred: • Experience with implementing data warehouses, data lakes, or data lakehouses; • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense; • Familiarity with environmental science, water quality, or related fields.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: •Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, architectures, and ETL processes (Alteryx, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, repositories). •Develop and apply data quality controls including cleansing, standards, metrics, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and consistency. •Optimize data workflows and systems for efficiency, scalability, reliability, and performance tuning. •Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy regulations, and security best practices. •Transform raw data into usable formats through cleansing, aggregation, filtering, and enrichment techniques. •Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enhance models, algorithms, and governance practices. •Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
