12262 – Network Architect (remote option) – Tallahassee, FL

Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 4 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Telecommuting may be allowed with written approval by the Agency.
Requirements:
• Availability to work at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls;
• Experience managing OSPF and BGP routing protocols in a large enterprise environment;
• Experience in migrating SonicWALL NSA firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls.
Preferred: Network Architect, Specialized
• Experience with SonicWALL and Palo Alto Firewalls;
• Experience with Migrating Firewalls;
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper Switching and Routing;
• Experience with Cisco EIGRP;
• Experience with Juniper routers and switches;
• Experience with F5 Big-IP LTM;
• Industry certifications from any of the above-mentioned manufacturers.
Preferred: Network Architect

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Develop and optimize high-level network plans, designs, and architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives;
• Create strategies for network system solutions utilizing current and emerging technologies, including wireless systems;
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware such as routers, switches, and hubs to ensure system reliability and performance;
• Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively implementing capacity planning and recommending improvements;
• Lead complex projects and serve as a subject matter expert across multiple technical areas and business segments;
• Coach and mentor junior technical staff, fostering growth and technical proficiency within the team;
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies, including readiness for emergency duties when required.
